PMD Missions
The Propellant Management Devices (PMDs) shown on this page represent the majority of PMDs designed by PMD Technology (some are missing as either the photographs were lost or they were minor changes to one pictured).
The PMDs shown here are are for use in all kinds of missions - from low earth to interplanetary.
One is for the International Space Station. Three are for space based observatories. Two are for upper stages of launch vehicles. One is for an interplanetary mission. Four are for orbiting experimental platforms. Many are for defense applications. Many more are for commercial communication satellites.
Several are low earth applications. Many are geosynchronous.
They are designed for nitrogen tetroxide, monomethyl hydrazine, and hydrazine. They operate with flow rates from 0.1 in3/s to 35 in3/s and accelerations between 0 g and 3 g.
All provide gas free propellant. Four provide CG control.
To date, no mission has proven too difficult for PMD use.
